So, after releasing all the body mounts, its time t

o lift this body off. Thankfully there is so many rust holes in the tub, reduces the weight! :-) This happened pleasently easily in the end. Some (most) of the body mount bolts just broke away from the tub instead of even having the good nature of twisting off. This made the lift a little tricky... the rusted sections of tub stuck to the body mount bolts hooked up in the body and took a little persuasion to finally break free. The front ones were the biggest problem, so I bolted a chain betwe

en the hinge mounts for the bonet and lifted from there. The whole front of the jeep lifted off the floor about 4 inches when finally CRACK, and the frame dropped away from the tub. After that, easy as pie. Moved the lift to the roll bar, and the tub was nicely balanced. Jacked the thing up from there, cut what was left of the park break cable, and wheeled the tub over to a corner to await further dismantlement and ultimately sandblasting and rust repair.
Next came the Engine, transmission and transfercase. I took the three out together, since I could jack straight up with the body off. Just had to release the drive shafts and the two engine mount bolts and up she came.
